As you know, this month, we’re hosting a series of Community Conversations in which we’ve invited students, staff, faculty and community partners to discuss discrete elements of Community Engagement.
Feedback from each of the six sessions will be considered in the creation of the Community Engagement Strategic Plan.
Last week, we hosted our first Conversation, this one on private sector partnerships. Is working with private sector partners different than working with community partners? How do we identify and recognize industry partners? What are our expectations of industry partners? What are their expectations of us? How do we work with private sector partners to advance our research initiatives but not become a corporate mouthpiece? Our discussion touched on these and other topics.
